With Snow Eye, the foundations were already there. The breakthroughs made in surf didn’t need to be rebuilt; they just had to be adapted, and suddenly the same logic started to work on snow.

But this goes beyond controlled setups or racing slopes.

The idea is much broader. Any resort, any session, where your runs are captured and delivered automatically, without needing to search, select, or think about it. Just ski, and everything is already there, ready to watch.

It’s the same shift we saw in wave pools. What didn’t exist at the beginning quickly became expected.

The thinking is that ski resorts will follow that same path.

From early on, Surf Eye was never meant to stay in one sport, and that’s where Snow Eye starts to take shape.

The problem feels familiar, but the reality is very different. Higher speeds, multiple lanes, constant changes on the slope, and a level of precision that pushes the system in a completely new direction.

Snø Oslo became the starting point. A controlled environment, high-level athletes, and the kind of setup where everything could be tested properly.

Getting the cameras to work was one thing. Getting the system to understand what was happening on the slope, and adapt to it in real time, was something else entirely.

What happens when the same system is placed in completely different environments, with different expectations, different users, and different rules?

As Surf Eye expanded into new types of pools, it became clear that one approach wouldn’t work everywhere.

Adapting to those changes means more than just the setup. It changes how the product is experienced, how it’s used, and what it needs to become.

This is where things start to take a different direction.
