🏛️ A UNIQUE VENUE and TRADITION
For over 26 years, Milonga d'A Barraca has promoted the social and traditional tango, emphasizing the roots of porteño identity, live music, and the unique atmosphere of the milonga as the place where the real tango happens. Hosted at Teatro Cinearte - Bar A Barraca, an Art Deco landmark from the 1940s (recognized for its cultural value by the Lisbon City Council), the milonga offers two charming spaces:

◦ Hall: 45 m² wooden dance floor, bar, stage, seating for 65 people at 15 tables.

◦ Gallery Lounge: a cozy corridor with 7 tables and a panoramic view — perfect for conversation. The venue welcomes up to 180 guests for special anniversaries.

🎶 BIRTHPLACE of FADO-TANGO FUSION. Milonga d'A Barraca is also the birthplace of the fusion between Tango Dance and traditional Fado — a pioneering idea developed since 1999 by Argentine dancer and PhD researcher Alejandro Laguna.
