I get it… some people will say, it’s just hair.
However hair can be symbolic when it comes to our self esteem, self confidence and desire to interact with the world.
Here’s my little contribution to help brighten the day of a child experiencing hair loss.
The real heroes wearing a cape and changing lives are the people behind

They dedicated their time, energy and life to create a bright future for the next generation.

Let’s fill social media with that kind of content.

What a special way to savour the hour of Solar Eclipse on a terrace in Lisbon Portugal.
10 yogis, Sun Salutations, Moon Salutations, handing around a single pair of glasses for all of us to witness the eclipse followed by meditation.

Thank you Yogis for making this a memorable experience. Here’s to more like this 🙌🙏✨☀️🌖

Solar Eclipse and Vinyasa

With such a wonder astrological event happening this Wednesday 12th August during our regular yoga practice, I thought we shouldn’t miss it by being inside.
The solar eclipse is visual from Lisbon with the peak 95% coverage at ~19h30
Meet at the studio 19h and we’ll carry our mats to a view point about 7mins away from the studio. Consider it a regular class on our schedule but under the full viewing of the solar eclipse. Book as per usual on the website, still limited to 9 spots. 🙏

Taking a special moment to honour the incredible solar system and moment we live.

To quote a Sanskrit mantra of peace:

तमसो मा ज्योतिर्गमय
“tamaso mā jyotirgamaya”
Lead me from darkness to light 🙏

Summer Time Lisboa!!! ☀️ 🏖️ 🌊 🏄

We are open all summer long for you to get your daily dose of yoga. Whether you’re a traveller to the city or our regular practitioners, we know the importance of having an accessible space 🙏

Due to a few teachers travelling we have a slight reduction in classes between 27th July-7th August. However expect 2-3 classes available each day. All is updated and ready for booking on our website and app.

From 8th August back to full schedule 🙏

Does yoga make you smarter? or do smart people practice yoga? 🧐

Something I have observed over the last 10years of teaching yoga in Lisbon, is that I have met some incredibly intelligent people doing amazing work on this planet.
From medical doctors, researchers, professors, business consultants, social workers, psychologists, environmental scientists, authors, journalists, film directors, musicians and more.
I have been inspired by so many people who have walked through the door at MoY.

*Including our teaching team which is full of smart noggins and genuine care for the world 🌍 ➡️

The 1 thing I notice in common, is the level and depth of life these people care to explore.
It’s not a superficial thing.
Yoga has access to layers upon layers of our existence. How does yoga differ from other movement practices?
* History and Philosophy studies
* Physiology and Biomechanics- Anatomy
* Endocrine system and hormone regulation
* Food and nutrition
* Awareness of thoughts and how they drive behaviours and relationships
* Experience of transcendence
* Reduction in perception of life suffering
* Communication and sharing of truth
* Ethical standards and moral conscience
