🇬🇧 DOUBLE-BOUNCE RULE
When the ball is served, the receiving team must let it bounce before returning, and then the serving team must let it bounce before returning, thus two bounces. After the ball has bounced once in each team’s court, both teams may either volley the ball (hit the ball before it bounces) or play it off a bounce (ground stroke). The double bounce rule eliminates the serve and volley advantage and extends rallies.

🇵🇹 REGRA DO DUPLO-SALTO
Quando a bola é servida, o jogador do lado receptor deve deixar a bola bater no chão uma vez antes de acertá-la. Quando a bola é devolvida para o lado que serve, a bola deve bater no chão novamente uma vez antes de ser devolvida. Depois da bola bater no chão uma vez em cada lado, a bola pode ser devolvida sem bater no chão. A regra do duplo-salto elimina a vantagem de quem serve e aumenta o tempo das jogadas.

🇬🇧 Pickleball is now up to a total of 8.9 million players in the United States over the age of six years old, an increase from 4.8 million in the 2022 Sports & Fitness Industry Association’s (SFIA) Report. One of the advantages pickleball has among other sports is that it doesn’t really matter your condition or age, for this reason, is considered one of the most inclusive existing sports.

🇵🇹 O número de jogadores de pickleball nos Estados Unidos com mais de seis anos de idade agora chega a um total de 8,9 milhões, um aumento em relação aos 4,8 milhões do Relatório de 2022 da Associação da Indústria de Desporto e Fitness (SFIA). Uma das vantagens do pickleball em relação a outros desportos é que não importa muito a sua condição ou idade, por essa razão, é considerado um dos desportos mais inclusivos que existem.

🇬🇧 The 2023 Sports & Fitness Industry Association’s (SFIA) Topline Participation Report was released last month, announcing that pickleball continued to be America’s fastest-growing sport for the third year in a row. According to the report, pickleball participation almost doubled in 2022, increasing by 85.7 percent year-over-year and by an astonishing 158.6 percent over three years.

🇵🇹 O Relatório de 2023 da Associação da Indústria de Desporto e Fitness (SFIA) divulgado no mês passado permite-nos afirmar que o pickleball continua a ser o desporto que mais cresce nos Estados Unidos pelo terceiro ano consecutivo. De acordo com o relatório, o número de praticantes de pickleball quase duplicou em 2022, com um aumento de 85,7% em relação ao ano anterior e um aumento de 158,6% nos últimos três anos.
