PORTUGAL VOLLEYBALL FESTIVAL is a youth volleyball event taking place in Lisbon, on 29/30 June 2024. We are excited to welcome you to our beautiful country.

PORTUGAL VOLLEYBALL FESTIVAL is a youth volleyball event aimed at boys and girls in U14, U16 & U18 age groups, to be played in Lisbon, in June 2024. This tournament is a great opportunity for teams from clubs, academies, and schools from all around the world to compete. olleyball. Volleyball has a great tradition in Portugal. The number of athletes, teams, spectators, and digital followers of this amazing sport is growing by the day. One of the most interesting parts of an international tournament is seeing how differently teams understand the same game.
Some play with patience, some with speed, some communicate constantly, others rely more on movement and eye contact. Every team brings something from its own volleyball culture, and that variety makes each match feel like a new problem to solve.
For young players, that kind of exposure matters. You learn by playing, but you also learn by seeing how others play.

You can tell a lot about a team by watching what happens between points.
Who speaks first after a mistake, who brings the group back together, who claps for the teammate who took a risk, who quietly adjusts their position before the next serve. These details rarely get attention, but they shape the way a team survives difficult moments.
At the Portugal Volleyball Festival, those small signs of connection were everywhere.

For those who were there, one photo is often enough to bring the whole weekend back.
The noise around the court, the teammates beside you, the pressure of staying focused while everything moved quickly, and that feeling of being fully inside the game for a few seconds.
That is what a good tournament photo does. It captures one moment, but somehow carries much more with it.

If you were not with us this year, this is a small glimpse of what the Portugal Volleyball Festival felt like. Competitive matches, busy courts, teams from different places and a weekend shaped by young athletes who came ready to play. Not all leadership looks the same. Sometimes it is the player who keeps everyone calm after a difficult point, the one who reminds the team where to stand, or the one who makes sure a teammate does not carry a mistake for too long. A tournament shows those quiet leaders very clearly, especially when matches get close.

By the end of a tournament day, smiles look different. They come with tired legs, messy hair, sore arms and the kind of satisfaction that only comes after giving a lot of yourself to the game. Those smiles say more than a perfect action shot ever could. They show that the weekend meant something.

Behind every young athlete there is usually someone carrying water, checking schedules, filming points, finding lost items and cheering from the side even when the day has already been long. Parents and supporters are part of the tournament rhythm in a way that often goes unnoticed, but the weekend would not feel the same without them.

One month later, the Portugal Volleyball Festival still feels present in the details. The celebrations, the team huddles, the quick conversations between matches, the players who kept pushing even when the day was long. July gave us the chance to look back slowly, and the more we revisit the weekend, the clearer it becomes why this community keeps growing.

The Portugal Volleyball Festival 2026 was two intense days of volleyball, competition, fun, and team spirit.
Between matches, wins, losses, and lots of energy, we’re left with memories and the desire to come back next year!
