We're devastated to announce the loss of our dear Hema, who passed away suddenly yesterday. At 11 years old, she was still so full of life and energy, making her loss feel even more unexpected. Hema was truly one of the kindest and most loving dogs we've had the joy of knowing. Her gentle spirit and affectionate nature brought so much happiness into our lives. Her absence leaves a huge hole in our hearts, and we'll miss her more than words can express.

Some people have recently been enquiring why Maxi no longer participates in competitions.

Last year, Maxi suffered an injury, and after extensive testing, it was discovered that he was experiencing discomfort due to an inflamed tendon in one of his hind legs. Thankfully, the issue wasn’t severe, and a full recovery was anticipated. However, during these examinations, a narrowing of the C5-C6 space was observed, with MRI scans revealing a collapsed disc and a slight dorsal protrusion. Despite Maxi not feeling any discomfort from this, we concluded that we couldn’t risk a serious injury and decided to retire him from competitive activities.

This doesn't mean he's idle! He continues his training; he’s my steadfast companion on horseback rides, assisting in retrieving dropped objects so I don’t have to dismount; he engages in detection work and participates in scientific projects.

Although we relish the thrill of competition, Maxi’s well-being is our utmost priority and we are committed to ensuring he enjoys a long and healthy life.
