🏃‍♂️ 43 years ago today. 🗽❤️

On October 23, 1983, I ran the New York City Marathon in 2:42:33. But looking back, it was never just about the time on the clock.

It was about the dreams, the determination, the emotions, and a young man discovering what was possible when he believed in himself.

43 years later, that day still holds a special place in my heart. The years have passed, but the memories, the gratitude, and the love for running have never faded.

Some finish lines stay with you forever. This is the story of one of mine. ❤️

🏃‍♂️ Sometimes life is just like running!

During today’s run, I came across a section of trail that had finally reopened…except someone forgot to remove all the fencing! 😂

So I did what we sometimes have to do in life. I pivoted, found another way around, and kept moving forward.

The lesson? Roadblocks don’t always mean stop. Sometimes they just mean change direction! 💪
