After nearly a decade and a half, the Magic Quiver doors in Ericeira are closed. A lot of fantastic surfboards, cool gear, and good people from all over the world came through our doors. Thank you to everyone who came in, came back, bought something, showed up to our events, or just hung around for a bit. Hope you found some fun and joy in it. We surely did. Thanks to all the shapers, glassers, sanders, artists, musicians, brands, and collaborators who shared our vision of surf culture. Special thanks to our employees who kept the boat afloat. Your contribution is much appreciated.
The Black Magic Café, which shared the space with us and grew very dear to many of you, is evolving into its own new chapter — more dedicated to coffee, food, and drinks, with a new name and fresh concept. Same good people and vibes, same good corner of the world. If you follow .cafe stay tuned there.
In a little while, Magic Quiver will be setting up a store-in-store at for the upcoming season, at least. A curated selection of surfboards and garments, analog cameras, film, curiosities, and the Carmencita drop-off point. More details soon as the plans firm up. In the meantime, film can already be dropped off there for development.
As for Magic Quiver as a brand, it’s not over. It will continue to be a creative outlet, on its own terms. No commercial pressure, no obligation. Just good stuff, when it’s ready. Products, experiences… we’ll see. Exactly where and when it pops up? Honestly, not entirely sure yet. And that feels right. For now, the energy required to built this, is pointed somewhere else. More on that in time.
This is not the end. Just a different shape.
