What people don’t tell you when you start surfing:

1. Every lesson learned in surfing, you can apply it in life. You are not just learning a new sport, you are learning how to live in balance

2. It’s easier to start, than what you think. With good instruction and the right board, it’s very easy to learn the basics

3. Falling isn’t failing. It’s just surfing. Falling is a fun part of the process of learning

4. You don’t feel any cold. With the right wetsuit, you are comfortable and warm throughout the whole session.

5. It’s always worth it. Even after your worst session you will feel better after surfing.

6. Enjoy the process of learning, that is the best thing about surfing. Once you master it, the fun gets lost in performance

7. Waiting 1hour for the right wave is part of the magic
