The most forgiving way into the ocean, too. Works on small days and big ones. Open to anyone from four years up, whatever your body can do.

Kids don't overthink a wave. They just go.
One already heading down, the little one crouched in the sand, halfway to somewhere.
No technique to worry about yet. Just the water and the nerve to meet it.
Saturday mornings at Costa da Caparica are full of this. Three to eight-year-olds, parents in the water too.
Happy Children's Day to the smallest wave chasers around.

This Sunday, the National Bodysurf Championship is in Vagueira, Aveiro.

We’re official partners this year. Henrique will be on the beach all day, with a free lesson for whoever’s around.

A few things people ask before their first lesson.

Most of them are about gear. The truth is, we have most of it. Wetsuit, fins and a handplane. That part is taken care of.

What to bring yourself? Swimwear under your clothes, a towel for after, water and something to eat.

Oh, and salt sticks to everything. Plan for that. 🧂
