Que orgulho nesta tripulação!!!
Estivemos do lado de cá todos a torcer por vocês.
Muito parabéns, os verdadeiros HERÓIS
Chegámos ao fim da Yukon River Quest, a mítica “Race to the Midnight Sun”! Foram 715 km de Whitehorse a Dawson City de pura superação. Fechamos este ciclo com um orgulho gigante e um resultado incrível:
🏆 1º Lugar na nossa categoria!
🥈 3º Lugar na Geral (a competir contra equipas de 4 atletas).
Esta prova foi totalmente diferente de tudo o que já vivemos. 25 horas seguidas a remar (!), a gestão do jet lag (-8h que em Portugal) e a privação extrema de sono.
A estratégia dividiu-se em duas partes:
1️⃣ A Competição: Uma gestão tática no lago, tentando sair do mesmo nas posições da frente. Começámos no ritmo certo e entrámos no rio num importante 2º lugar.
2️⃣ O Contra-Relógio: Uma luta contra o cansaço e as trajetórias. O sono extremo levou-nos ao limite, trazendo inclusive em alguns momentos confusão mental e alucinações.
O corpo foi ao limite, mas a mente venceu. Obrigado a todos os que torceram por nós desde Portugal! Este pódio também é vosso! Aceleraaaa! 🤘

We have reached the end of the Yukon River Quest, the legendary “Race to the Midnight Sun”! It was 715 km from Whitehorse to Dawson City of pure perseverance. We close this chapter with immense pride and an incredible result:
🥇 1st Place in our category!
🥉 3rd Place Overall (competing against 4-athlete teams).
This race was completely different from anything we have ever experienced. 25 consecutive hours of paddling (!), managing the jet lag (-8h compared to Portugal) and extreme sleep deprivation.
Our strategy was split into two parts:
1️⃣ The Competition: Tactical management on the lake, trying to exit it in the front positions. We started at the right pace and entered the river in an important 2nd place.
2️⃣ The Time Trial: A battle against fatigue and navigation lines. The extreme exhaustion pushed us to the limit, even bringing mental confusion and hallucinations at times.
The body was pushed to its absolute limit, but the mind prevailed. Thank you to everyone who cheered for us from Portugal! This podium belongs to you too! Let's goooo! 🤘
