Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is, in my personal opinion, one of the best martial arts for defense of women.
Why?
In sexual assault you mostly end up on your back on the ground. As we, women practicing BJJ know, that's our guard position so we are ready to attack.
Most of the times our assaulter will have the advantage of strength, so choking them might be better solution. And of course, element of surprise might be on our side.
Remember, first thing you always want to do is to run away from the situation and not to escalate. But if the situation gets to a point, where you end up on the back, fight! Remember your training, try force the assaulter to either let you go and run away!
