Hosted by a passionate former competitive swimmer turned enthusiast, revel in the sheer joy of ocean swimming. Enjoy a 5 day hosted stay & ocean swimming adventure at my peaceful farmhouse in the West Algarve. Switch off as soon as you land. You'll be picked up and dropped off from Faro Airport which is one hour to my home (so no need for a hire car unless you'd like to). We can go swimming as often or as little as you like....once or twice per day or not at all if you fancy chilling instead! You will get all the personal space you need to chill...you can just do your own thing....
I only host 1 person or a couple at a time and you have a large room with a very big ensuite as your private area. I've hosted many people over the years so you will feel very at ease. All meals can be provided by my friend who is a professional chef. Food preferences will be taken before you arrive if you choose this as an option. There are lots of areas to chill at my place including by the pool, patio area, the garden, visiting the rescue horses in the fields next door, laying in the hammock or walking in the local area.

I was a competitive swimmer when I was young, a national finalist in the UK and then swam in teams for most of my life and now I'm 44 and loving swimming more than ever! I lived in Australia for part of my life and was part of an ocean team in Bondi and now love swimming in the Atlantic of the West Algarve in Portugal most days. I enjoy the year round coolness of the water (14-18 degrees) regardless of the hot summer and my personal passion is swimming in rough conditions of up to 3m wave conditions....don't worry, you are not expected to do this! :))
I really enjoy hosting people who are also passionate and competent in open water swimming and taking people out in the ocean whether it be just in the shallows or more advanced swims....whatever someone feels comfortable with I will stick with them to ensure they feel safe...just feel free to ask about the conditions here...
