Since 2001 Portugal Sail and Power has been offering RYA sailing courses in the sunny Algarve region of Portugal, making us the longest established RYA school in the area. The teaching is done in a friendly and professional manner without applying too much pressure, you should enjoy the learning process and gain knowledge in a calm environment. Normally, Julian Mead, the principal and owner of the

business will be your coach but in any event only fully qualified and experienced RYA Yachtmaster Instructors are used. From competent crew to the prestigious Yachtmaster qualification we have offered friendly teaching aboard our fleet of Bavaria 36 sailing yachts. Our reputation has enabled us to build a strong, long lasting business that really cares about our clients. We are proud and pleased to announce that from 2015 we are able to offer the same friendly and professional coaching aboard motor yachts and powerboats. We offer all RYA courses, the International Certificate of Competence and individual coaching specifically tailored to your needs.
