The focus of Cavernicola BJJ Academy is to promote culture in the sport of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in Puerto Rico. Our academy, located in Old San Juan, is directly linked to the world-renowned organization; Carlson Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Team and as an organization, The Carlson Gracie Puerto Rico Team, we have 7 academies on the island, with locations in; Hato Rey, Caguas, Cupey, Guaynabo, Bayamón, Old San Juan and Toa Baja. Rodriguez is a Black Belt under Master Luisinho Santiago and under the supervision of Grand Master Carlson Gracie Jr.. His uncomon strenght, his unorthodox yet basic techniche, aswell as his great attention to detail earned him the surname "CAVERNICOLA", awarded to him by Grand Master Carlson himself. He is a multiple time international competitor and winner and has fought in the Grapplers Quest in Las Vegas and in The New York Open, among other recognized tournaments. We have a really mellow, and diverse group of guys and girls who are allways eager to welcome new practitioners to the art they love, the "ARTE SUAVE". Either if you want to compete, test yourself in an unusual situation, learn new things, new ways to handle stress, if you want to loose weight, make new relations for life, if in any way or form you are facing any type of Bullying, if you are bored, uncomfortable, tired of the same old same old... TRUST ME THIS IS IT. I am not saying it will be an easy journey, I am not by any means saying it is going to be a joy ride.... BUT I AM INDEED TELLING YOU IT WILL BE THE RIDE OF YOUR LIFE! Because this is ground zero, that place where you meet yourself, face to face over and over, that place where either you destroy your ego or it will get crushed for you, that place where you will really come to realize what you are really made of. Honor, perseverance, determination, strength, courage, the way of the warrior... This is the way, Brasilian Jiu Jitsu; It is in you, it is in me, IT IS 4 LIFE!!

King Charles III dropped into the Roger Gracie Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy in London today… And walked away with a white belt.

The King visited as part of a royal engagement with REORG, a charity using BJJ to support military veterans, serving personnel and emergency service workers. He helped present a black belt alongside REORG founder Sam Sheriff, and was then gifted his own white belt in return.

REORG was founded by Sam Sheriff, a former Royal Marines Commando of 22 years who became the first serving BJJ black belt in the Corps. The charity helps veterans and service members transition into civilian life through jiu-jitsu training, giving them community, purpose and a place to belong.

In true royal fashion, Charles kept his shoes on, with blue disposable covers as he walked the mats, met students and watched a live demonstration.
