🧪A Recipe for an Animal Cell!

In 7th Grade Life Science, our students got creative with science! 🧬

Using simple, non-toxic household ingredients, students made their very own slime “cytoplasm” right in the classroom. Then came the fun part: placing the different organelles inside to build and represent an animal cell!

From mixing the “cytoplasm” to assembling their cells, our students had so much fun learning that science can be hands-on, creative, and a little bit slimy! 🧪💚

Creando el amor por la lectura!
Los estudiantes de cuarto a sexto, junto a su maestra de español, la Sra. Karimar Rodríguez, disfrutaron con entusiasmo al 21.º Maratón Puertorriqueño de Lectura.
Leímos el cuento: ¡ El pez arcoiris al rescate! Luego realizaron su pez de una manera muy creativa.
Porque cada cuento abre una puerta a la imaginación, fortalece el aprendizaje y nos permite descubrir la grandeza que vive entre cada historia.

🥗🧬 Macromolecules Meet the Picnic! 🧬🍎

Learning biology doesn’t always have to happen behind a desk! 💚

Our 10th Grade Biology students in Mrs. Muñiz’s class cooked and shared a delicious Macromolecule Picnic! 🧺✨

After studying the four major biological macromolecules — carbohydrates, lipids, proteins, and nucleic acids — students brought different foods and created their own balanced plates, classifying each food according to the macromolecules it contains. 🔬🥑🍗🍓

It was a hands-on way to connect biology, nutrition, and everyday life while enjoying some time together! 🌱🧠

Who knew studying macromolecules could be this delicious? 😋🧬
