What a day at the FALL BJJ CHALLENGE 2024 in Bayamon, Puerto Rico! Faced a tough, heavier opponent in Jorge Pagan .pp in a 2 out of 3 match. Won the first, dropped the second by an advantage, and fought hard in the third to bring home the gold medal 🥇. Big respect to Jorge for pushing me to the limit—he made me dig deep for that win.

Special shoutout to from for being in my corner and coaching me through it. Couldn’t have done it without your guidance. Huge thanks to the Gracie Allegiance Puerto Rico team for coming out to support, and to the crew for always pushing me to be better.

This victory is for all of us! On to the next! 👊🏼💪🏼

🥋✨ Today, I am honored and humbled to share that I’ve leveled up from a Blue Belt to a Purple Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu! This journey has been more than just mastering techniques; it’s been a transformative path of self-discovery, discipline, and resilience.

From countless hours on the mat, pushing through sweat, pain, and doubt, to the camaraderie and support of my incredible BJJ family, every step has been a testament to growth and perseverance. This new belt symbolizes not just a progression in skill, but a deeper understanding of the art and a stronger connection to the BJJ community.

Great class tonight and awesome rolls.

In A World That Uses Our Differences To Tear Us Apart, Jiu-Jitsu Brings Us Together.

As soon as you step through the door and put on your gi, you’re reminded that you’re a part of one of the most diverse families in the world.
Because just about anyone can do jiu-jitsu, it welcomes people from all corners of the globe and all walks of life.

Jiu-jitsu forces you to get close with people you might otherwise never even speak to, if only physically. And when you quite literally place your life in someone else’s hands, trusting that they’ll release that choke once you tap out, it begins to chip away at the mistrust that has been built up as a result of society and the media’s dividing narrative.

When we’re rolling, everything else about who we are fades away, if only for a few minutes. We are reduced to nothing more than human beings, stripped down to nothing but what we can do with our own bodies against another body. The things that cause us to block each other on social media stop being important, and we’re all united by something we love.
