A little over four years ago, she first stepped onto the mats as a student. Like many kids who start Jiu-Jitsu, she was quiet, a little unsure, and just trying to figure things out one class at a time.
Over the years we watched something really special happen.
She kept showing up.
She kept learning.
She kept helping others.
Little by little, she grew from being one of the kids in class to someone the younger students looked up to. Eventually she stepped into a new role — helping coach and guide the next generation on the mats.
That kind of growth is what Jiu-Jitsu is all about.
Next week she’s starting a new chapter as she leaves to join the Coast Guard. We couldn’t be more proud of the discipline, character, and leadership she’s developed during her time here.
While we’ll miss having her on the mats every week, we know she’s going to do incredible things wherever she goes.
Thank you for being such an important part of our academy and for setting an amazing example for the younger students.
As she wrote so candidly on the Wall of Fame, “It is possible to knock me down, but impossible to keep me down.“
We’re so proud of you. Dale!
