Yeah, that's right. Exactly two years ago today we launched FreediveRanking. A simple page with a list of athletes and their records from AIDA and CMAS.

In the last picture you can see the very first version. Since then a lot has changed. We added athlete profiles with statistics, an events calendar, and the live results feature used at the World Championships and the World Games. Also, as the first and only broke the barrier of 1000 points in the overall ranking.

This project is donations based. We appreciate everyone who has supported us so far and appreciate further donations. They really make the difference in developing the platform and the sport we all love.

CNF Men - 33rd AIDA World Championship, Corsica 2024 - Forecast ⛅

The competition in the men’s No Fins (CNF) discipline promises to be just as thrilling. Both Alexey Molchanov of Russia, currently ranked world no. 2, and Petar Klovar of Croatia, currently ranked world no. 3, are registered athletes for the 33rd AIDA World Championship. Recently, both attempted to break the long-standing world record of 102m set by William Trubridge on July 16, 2016. Unfortunately, both attempts ended in underwater blackouts. The big question now is: will they take the risk and attempt to break the world record again, or will they opt for slightly shallower dives to secure a medal?

Among the top contenders, we also have Abdelatif Alouach of France, one of the top 3 deepest CNF divers of the last season. However, there is some uncertainty about his participation as he is heavily involved in organizing the event. If he does compete, he will certainly be a strong candidate for the podium.

We also expect strong competition from Vitomir Maričić of Croatia (world no. 7) and Gennady Roshchin of Russia, who won the bronze medal last year in Cyprus. Piotr Błaszczak of Poland and Nicolas Jaouen of France are also in the mix, having shared 4th place last year with impressive dives of 65m.

We’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments below—who are you rooting for?

CNF Women - 33rd AIDA World Championship, Corsica 2024 - Forecast

On September 6th, the 33rd AIDA World Championship in Corsica will begin. Thanks to AIDA International and the incredible Diveye technology, we'll be able to watch the entire event live on AIDA's YouTube channel.

The competition will kick off with the women’s No Fins (CNF) discipline. Unfortunately, the top three athletes in the ranking—Kateryna Sadurska, Mirela Kardašević, and Alessia Zechinni—will not be present in Ajaccio. However, the field remains strong, with Sanda Delija of Croatia, currently ranked world no. 5 with a personal best of 71m, emerging as the leading contender for the gold.

Maria Bobela Klovar of Poland, ranked world no. 11 with a PB of 65m, is another strong competitor. Close behind are Enchante Gallardo of the USA and Marine Simonis of Belgium, both with PBs of 63m. Marianna Krupnitskaia (Gillespie) and Brigitte Banegas, with PBs of 62m and 61m respectively, also have a solid chance of reaching the podium, especially if any higher-ranked athletes experience unsuccessful dives or turn early.

It promises to be a fiercely competitive event, and we wish all the athletes the best of luck and beautiful dives.
