Dear clients, I warmly greet you after the holiday break.
Haha, I couldn’t resist — , I just had to create this AI-generated meme with the company "Miecz-Pol".
I have to admit, I had a lot of fun with it, and judging by your reactions, you enjoyed it as well. Unfortunately, you already realized it was an April Fools’ joke — but are you really sure...?
Below is a more detailed explanation.
I won’t keep you in suspense.
It’s time to clarify a few things from the past few days.
First of all, Mr Sword is not the name of my company — it never was. It is actually the name of the brand, because my company, which I founded in Poland, is named after my surname — Łopatynski. I know that for most of my clients, who are usually international, my surname is impossible to pronounce.
That’s why in 2018 I created the Mr Sword brand. However, I have always been operating and settling accounts as my own company in Poland. The name "Miecz-Pol" was actually seriously considered in the early days of the business, hence this little reference. ;)
Of course, I won’t go into details about how things work in Poland. In short — the system is becoming more and more tightened for entrepreneurs, with more obligations and costs imposed every year.
For a long time, I have been working on certain solutions (I had to analyze all available legal forms), and today I can say that all your swords will still be accounted for in Poland, but we are changing the legal form — from a sole proprietorship to a company.
This also involves setting up the entire administrative side — a new bank account, accounting, etc. And from April 1st, no joke this time, the Polish government has additionally introduced the so-called KSeF system, which we are required to comply with.
So, to sum up:
Our brand remains unchanged, but my private business has been transformed into a family company. For our clients, this changes nothing, although if this generates savings for me, I will also pass them on to you, because we will not be increasing prices. That’s the first change
Another very important thing is that we have acquired an additional room next to our workshop. I had been trying to secure it for a long time in the building where we rent the workshop, and for about a month now I have been carrying out renovation works there. This is the room you saw — the one with the bars in the meme. It used to be the old changing room of the entire building, so it had a very outdated style, which naturally brought associations with a past era. Now, however, I am renovating it to become a fully modern space. Thanks to this, we are already planning further improvements — I can remove part of a wall to connect it with our workshop, which will significantly improve our workflow.
So the only downside — I’m very sorry — is that unfortunately we will not be selling cold cuts or cheese, etc. However, we warmly invite all our clients to Warsaw, to Konstruktorska 6, where we operate and will welcome you with open arms — with bread, salt, and Polish sausage ;)
