If Imam-ul-Haq is found guilty of faking his injury, then in my opinion, he should never play for Pakistan again. I don’t care if the rules say the punishment should be a one- or two-year ban. A player who has already been given plenty of chances—sometimes even when he arguably didn’t deserve them—should know better.
How can a player play with the emotions and sentiments of millions of fans like this? Representing Pakistan is a privilege, and that trust should never be taken for granted.
If he is proven guilty, Imam should be made an example of so that, in the future, any player thinking of doing something similar will think twice before making such a serious mistake.
