Three years ago, Pakistan chess was in decline — with little international recognition, no structured youth programme, and minimal presence on the global stage.
On 2 May 2026, Pakistan will be represented at the Asian Chess Leaders’ Summit in Singapore, sharing its journey in Youth Chess and Chess in Schools alongside some of the most respected figures in the game, including four-time Women’s World Champions Hou Yifan and Xie Jun.
What has been built together in just three years:

♟ Revival of national chess legacy, inspired by pioneers like Mian Sultan Khan
🎓 Prime Minister’s National Mindsports Initiative — reaching 10,000 schools
🌍 Growth in player base from 500 to over 5,000
🏅 FIDE Outstanding Contribution Award 2025
This progress does not belong to one individual. It belongs to every player, every parent, every volunteer, every provincial association, and every international partner who believed in Pakistan chess when few others did.
Pakistan’s chess story is just beginning. The world is watching — and the world is taking notice.
