DAY 1 | SAEED SPORTS CITY INTER-CLUB T20
Day 1 started with an exciting contest between the two teams; SSC REDS and SSC WHITES. Both captains; Umer Shahid and Zulqarnain Nasir, made their way out for the toss, with SSC REDS winning the toss and choosing to bat first.
SSC REDS started of well, with umer shahid leading from the front playing a captains knock, umer led from the front, however wickets fell all around him, Zaryan Khans cameo helped SSC REDS put up a competitive 150-run target in 18 overs, with a really well-paced 62 off 47 balls, supported by a handy cameo from Zaryar Khan.
Bowlers for SSC WHITES contained the runs with Zulqarnain Nasir himself being the pick of the bowlers, taking 3 wickets in just two overs while conceeding 16 runs.
ON TO THE RUN CHASE...
The openers for SSC WHITES took the field and got off with a blistering start, racing to 79 without loss in 5 overs, with rayan ali scoring 48 of 26 balls and Farman Ali scoring 18 of 9.
The momentum was ultimately interrupted as rain brought the match to an end, with the match eventually going to the DLS method.
After the DLS calculation, SSC WHITES secured a 45-run victory, bringing an exciting, rain-interupted opening day to an end.
