Swimming is one of the popular sports with lesser facilities available to produce the quality that can match with global competitive level. Keeping in view the dire need of a facility of Swimming Pool of International Standards in the Punjab, a scheme
of Construction of International Level Swimming Pool at Nishtar Park, Sports Complex, Lahore, was included in the Annual Development Program of sports sector towards the end of first decade. As a result of that effort a venue which is equipped with State-of-the-art machinery, equipment, and material to host National and International level competitions according to ‘FINA-International Swimming Federation’ standards recognized by ‘IOC-International Olympics Committee’ is now ready to take-off.
