Punjab Crowned Champions After Thrilling Final Against AJK
The 5th National Women’s Blind Cricket Championship 2026 concluded on a high note in Islamabad, marking the end of an inspiring and highly competitive tournament.
In a gripping final, Punjab emerged victorious against AJK, showcasing remarkable resilience, skill and determination.
Batting first, AJK posted a formidable 213/5 in 20 overs, led by: Shumaila Kiran 62 (39) and Armeen Tariq 34 (24)
For Punjab, Maryum Amir claimed 1 wicket.
In reply, Punjab mounted a strong chase. However, rain interrupted play and the result was decided under the DLS method. At the time of interruption, Punjab were 183/6 in 17.2 overs, securing victory by 4 wickets.
Rimsha Shabir starred with a superb 72 (35)
Nisha Bax contributed 25 (15). For AJK, Shumaila Kiran took 2 wickets, while Armeen Tariq picked up 1 wicket
