Match Summary: THT vs. Szab-Lawyer XI
The match started with Szab Lawyers winning the toss and electing to field first. Fauki and Talha opened the batting for Thunderers. The start was a bit shaky and nervous for the openers and in the 3 ovres the Thunderers managed to score only 15 and lost wicket of Fauki. The following overs also did not turn out to be in the Thunderers favour and at the end of the power play the Thunderers were badly struggling with 35 on board and they had lost their 3 main line batsmans. Sherry and Ayan were the two after Fauki who did not trouble the scorers much and headed back to pavilion. Then came in Shan to crease. Shan and talha played sensibly and in the gaps and managed to bring Thunderers in some stable position. They played shots all around the ground and out of park too building a 35 runs partnership before it was broken by the Szab lawyers by getting the wicket of Shan. Shan was followed by the next batsman Inzi who did not score much and got out. At this moment Thunderers were again in pressure with only 80 on board and 5 of the batsman were back to pavilion. Thunderers required a thundering inning and a solid partnership was provided by Saadi and Talha. Talha started playing in his own flamboyant and exclusive style hammering the ball badly. Saadi on the other hand provided adequate support to him and the Thunderer boys added 61runs together to the score. Meanwhile Talha scored his half century. Saadi got out in the 18th over. Arsxi then made his way to the crease, however he did not get much chance to bat. Meanwhile Talha had become unstoppable and was going crazy behind the ball. He scored 25 on the last 8 balls. And Thunderers in the end scored 175/6.
Then, the Thunderers started bowling in their own way with Ismail thundering his bowl pass the Szab-Lawyer batsmans and Shan shaping his bowl in and out. Although Szab batsmans failed to understand the seemers badly, they managed to contain their wickets in hand. However later szab batsmans freed their arms played some good shots. Areeb and Dani, the magical spinners were waiting to be launched and as they got the bowl in their hands, the Szab batsmans almost forgot playing the game of cricket, and not even a single batsman managed to reach double figures except Sarmad and Ahad. In the process Sherry also bowled, and bowled well and got a wicket to his name. Right in the dead overs Saadi was given the bowl and he showed his all-rounding class and got two wickets in one over at the cost of only a single. Areeb was pick of the bowlers who got 3 wickets in his four overs and gave 21 runs and 2,2 wickets were shared by Saadi and Dani.
In the end it was convincing victory for the Thunderers and bowled out Szab-Lawyers on 101 and won the match by 75 runs.
Talha was the man of the match for his 80 of 48 with 10 fours and 1six.
