Our grandfather FAZAL UR REHMAN founded the AL-REHMAN CAPS AND HATS Co. in downtown KARACHI sometime way before we were born... His son, our father, spent his entire life in the headwear industry as a Cap Maker and Packer. Our father, NAQEEB UR REHMAN, was also introduced to the hat business at a young age. With the knowledge and experience he gained, he worked his way through the industry and became the top buyer and supplier for one of the largest headwear distributors not only in KARACHI, which at the time was also one of the largest in the country. During that time, the late 60’s thru the late 70’s, there were at least 300 manufacturers in differents parts of KARACHI. IN 1970 our grandfather decided to establish his first retail and wholesale outlet in Sadar, Kaarachi. By 1984 the time was right to go out further. The MTV generation was taking over and music and fashion became linked in a new way. Vintage styles and retro repros were in demand. Shipping from a second story loft with a showroom on Tariq Road, and now AL-REHMAN CAPS AND HATS Co. was formed. In the coming years as the company started to grow, one by one, each of us found our way in. We enjoy working together and take a lot of pride in knowing that from production to packing you’re covered. It’s been 44 years since those early days of SADAR, and later the corner of Tariq Road, but our goal to combine fashionable headwear with superior customer service remains the same.
