Erum Baloch from Jacobabad is a passionate hockey player and coach who has become a symbol of resilience and women empowerment through sports. Despite facing strong societal barriers and limited opportunities, she pursued her love for hockey and turned her challenges into a mission to support other girls.

In 2017, at just 23 years old, she founded the Stars Women Hockey Academy—the first women’s hockey academy in her region. Through her efforts, many young girls have gained access to sports, with several players going on to compete at domestic, national, and international levels, and even earning educational opportunities through sports scholarships.

Her journey is not just about sports, but about breaking social taboos and creating a safe space where girls can dream, play, and grow with confidence. Erum continues to inspire a new generation of female athletes in Sindh by proving that determination can overcome even the toughest barriers.
