Gojal Twisters ended the season on a high with a brilliant performance against Friends 11.

Batting first, Friends 11 posted 243 all out in 30 overs. The Twisters’ bowling unit did well to contain them, with Yousuf Iqbal leading the attack with 4 wickets, while Mohsin and Irfan Fanu chipped in with 2 wickets each.

In reply, Gojal Twisters chased the target comfortably in the 27th over. Irfan Fanu anchored the innings with a brilliant 66 off 39 balls, supported by a solid 44 off 34, while Jamil ud Din’s quick 30 off 16 sealed the win in style.

Match Summary – Gojal Twisters vs HD Sixers

Gojal Twisters played its first ever T-40 format cricket match against HD Sixers at COMSATS Cricket Ground.

Gojal Twisters secured a commanding 8-wicket victory over HD Sixers in a high-scoring and action-packed encounter.

In the first innings, HD Sixers were bowled out for 155 runs, with Nooraiz (43)* and Anwar (35) leading the scoring. The standout performer with the ball was KB Soleh, who delivered a brilliant spell of 5/23, well supported by Mohsin Sakhi (2/42).

In response, Gojal Twisters posted 177/8 (dec), gaining a crucial lead. Mohsin Sakhi played an explosive knock of 51 off 16 balls*, while Safdar Rumi (38 off 23) added valuable runs.

In the second innings, HD Sixers bounced back strongly, putting up 210 runs, thanks to a sensational 102 off 37 balls by Rizwan. However, Mubashir (4/46) and Yousif Iqbal (3/11) kept the pressure on with key breakthroughs.

Chasing a challenging target, Gojal Twisters delivered a dominant batting performance, reaching 192/2 with ease. Yousif Iqbal starred with a match-winning 113 off 47 balls*, supported by Safdar Rumi (61 off 36), sealing a comprehensive victory.

Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilayhi Raji’un 💔

On behalf of Gojal Twisters, we mourn the tragic loss of our beloved teammate, brother, and one of the youngest and most talented mountaineers of our time, Shah Doulat. His passing has left us heartbroken and deeply saddened.

Hailing from Shimshal Valley, Hunza, Shah Doulat was a name of pride not only for his community but for all of Pakistan. He etched his name in history by summiting Gasherbrum I (8,080m) without supplemental oxygen, a remarkable achievement that reflected his exceptional strength, discipline, and courage. His incredible journey also included successful ascents of some of the world’s most challenging peaks, including K2, Nanga Parbat, and Gasherbrum II, firmly establishing him among Pakistan’s finest high-altitude mountaineers.

Beyond his extraordinary accomplishments, Shah Doulat was a humble soul and a true inspiration for the younger generation. His passion for the mountains, his quiet determination, and his relentless pursuit of excellence motivated countless aspiring climbers across the country.

Though he is no longer with us, Shah Doulat’s legacy will live on through the peaks he conquered and the lives he inspired. The entire Gojal Twisters family stands in solidarity with his family, friends, and loved ones during this time of immense loss.

May Allah grant him the highest place in Jannah and give patience and strength to all who grieve.

Rest in peace, Shah Doulat. You will always climbe with us, in our hearts and in the mountains. You will forever remain a part of Gojal Twisters. 🕊️🤍
