All Gojal to Host First Major Hard Ball Cricket Tournament in Sost

Sport news : In a significant development for sports in Upper Hunza the Sost Young Star Club has announced the All Gojal Hard Ball Cricket Tournament, scheduled to begin on July 4, 2026 at the Sost Hussainabad Cricket Ground.

The event is being described as a landmark moment for cricket in the region as hard ball cricket will take centre stage in Gojal offering local players an opportunity to compete at a higher level of the game.

Organisers said the tournament aims to promote youth engagement, strengthen sportsmanship, and encourage healthy competition among teams from across Gojal and other parts of Gilgit-Baltistan.

Held against the backdrop of the Karakoram mountain range, the tournament is expected to attract cricket enthusiasts, local communities and emerging talent from across the region.

The organisers have adopted the slogan, One Game, One Passion reflecting their vision of using sports as a platform to unite young people and nurture future athletes.
