We'd want to take this time to thank everyone who helped make West Shuttlers and Shuttleblitz Mini Inter Club Tournament Version 2.0 such a success. First and foremost, we would like to thank God for His protection and guidance throughout the occasion. Second, we have proud parents and guardians that allow their children to compete in this event and support our food. Third, the committee contributed their time and effort to the tournament's success. Fourth, the players who assist us by serving as line judges and umpires. Fifth, thank you to our guest players, Sir Rodel, Sir Allan, Abdel's group, and other guests from various badminton clubs. Finally, we thank Mam Agnes Santos of Colegio de la Ciudad de Zamboanga and the Ayala Barangay Council for enabling us to host the event at the Ayala Gymnasium. Again, thank you so much. We hope to see you again in our next tournament. GOD BLESS US ALL!

First Day of Summer Learn to Play 💪🏸✨

The First day of Summer Learn to Play for Badminton already started on this day at the Ayala Gymnasium Sports Complex wherein the trainers gave important orientation to the participants before starting the program. The team is divided into two groups the beginners group and intermediate group.

The beginners group will be spearheaded by Coach Jaynold M. Alarcon on the other hand the Intermediate Group will be spearheaded by Coach LJ M. Camasura. The beginners group already started their program by learning the basics of badminton such as it's basic rules and regulations, the basic shots, basic serves, and familiarizing the court. The intermediate group on the other hand first had their refresher course of badminton from it's basic up to it's intermediate level.

On Day 2 the program will officially start and sweat will fill the courts ✨

Good Evening Shuttlers!

COMMITTEES STATEMENT!

The game during our two days tournament was getting hotter and hotter as the brackets of the games are moving upwards as they smash their goal in winning inside the court.

In regards to this matter, there has been some adjustments regarding the tournament and given the fact that the tournament was plotted only on these designated dates June 15-16, with the given time of 8am up until 4pm, the plotted two days was not enough there are still 14 games remaining (which includes the quarterfinals, semifinals, and championship match) the time was not enough to finished the 14 remaining games, so the committee together with the head coaches of the invited teams agreed to move the game on June 30, 2024 (Sunday). For the following reasons;

- Adjustment of the mentioned date was because the venue for the badminton tournament is only accessible from 8am to 4:00pm only every Saturday and Sundays from 4:30pm onwards the basketball league commences up until 11:00pm.

- Some of our participants have trainings on their respective home courts and some of our participants and members of the committee team have work during weekdays one reason why we cannot proceed to continue our games tomorrow June 17,2024.

- The Ayala Gymnasium Sports Complex is a venue for sports that caters all types of sports and they also have their respective schedules and time of game in the said venue, badminton is one of the occupiers of the mentioned facility and the given schedule for badminton to use the facility is ONLY Saturday and Sunday 8am-4pm.

- One of our invited teams in the tournament will be competiting for a Badminton Tournament on Ipil Zamboanga Sibugay, on June 21-23. And as support to our fellow badminton teams we are moving the date of our game from this upcoming Sunday June 22, 2024 to June 30, 2024. So that they can still play their respective games in the remaining brackets and so that we can cater all of our participants in the tournament fair.

The committee would also like to apologize if we didn't proceed to commence the awardings for both Lower D and Lower C which was already done on the first day June 15. It's because we would like to plot a proper awarding ceremony to all our participants for their hardwork in winning this tournament after the games on June 30, 2024 at 3pm. We sincerely apologize if we lack the respect to inform our audiences and fellow participants on time because the committee was also busy in the run-through of the tournament because we were planning to finish it on time. But truly we were running out of time so it's really a mistake on our part, and we are sincerely sorry for that.

Updates will be posted here soon and we will also update you of the standing of our different participants in the following categories. LOWER A, LOWER B, LOWER MIX OPEN.

The court will set to blaze again on June June 30, 2024 at 9am up until 3pm ✨
