Philippine Extinct Volcanoes Rugby Team

06/05/2026

Calling all our fans, followers and supporters of Philippine Volcanoes and our players. In July there is a big tournament that the team will be competing in called the Unions Cup. Team Philippines will be defending their title against 7 other teams from Asia from July 12-18. We have players coming from all across the globe and many of them will need some funding help to make this happen. A Go Fund Me page has been set up to allow our fans to help support the club in raising the funds needed to get our Squad of 35 players over to Thailand to defend their title. I asking all of you who follow this page to see what you can do to help raise the funds needed to assist the players. If everyone can donate just a little, $10-$20 we can get to our goals. If you could share this to all of your social circles and ask them to give just a little we can ensure the Philippine Volcanoes have the resources to win this series again. Congratulations to the first ever Manila10s Vets Senior division winners, the Philippines very own Extinct Volcanoes. In a tight contest to wrap up a single day event, the boys dug deep to secure the cup final victory and establish our names on the first ever senior vets division trophy. Well played to everyone who pulled on our world class looking kit.

🏉 TEAM SPOTLIGHT: EXTINCT VOLCANOES

Introducing the Extinct Volcanoes - one of the returning teams set to compete at the Manila 10s 2026! Read below what they have to say about their teams.

🟢⚪⚫

It is hard to believe 12 months has passed and the best weekend of rugby in Asia is on again. This year is extra special because there are 2 divisions for the vets this year, vets open and vets senior. That is twice the number of Extinct Volcanoes putting on our team kit to represent the senior side of rugby. We have been training hard by not training much to get ready for this weekend. With over 32 players over 35 this year there may be a shortage of players for the opens division. They will all get to this milestone at some point. Bring on the games and the comraderie.

The entire Extinct Volcano team both past and present do want to thank the tournament organizers for working tirelessly to make the Manila 10s happen year after year. They certainly have their challenges just to get a place willing to tolerate 30 rugby teams over 2 days. The tourney would not happen without all of their behind the scenes efforts. We thank you for keeping the Manila 10s tradition alive. Now lets get after it and play some rugby and enjoy those cold refreshments.

As we always like to say….. Don’t Die!!
