Look after yourselves as the Tibiao River rises. It's not the first time, despite opinions of relative newcomers who say the river is at an historic level. It is the first time there's been building and activity so close to the river, so damage could be unprecedented, but equally could be seen to be self-inflicted by those pushing the environmental envelope for short term gain. You can be assured we will never ask for donations, nor will we take brazen environmental shortcuts. Remember that when you are crass enough to choose to dine physically on the river with the resulting pollution of the Tibiao River. And certainly when we launched crowd sourcing for Yolanda, for instance, every peso and dollar donated went to the intended recipients, and there was a level of transparency which ensured that nothing untoward did, or could, occur. What's cooking? Meeeeeeeee! These large woks known as "kawa" baths were once used as sugar-cane cauldrons in the Philippines. They now sit in tropical Philippine jungle at Kayak Inn in Tibiao, Antique of Vizayas Islands where they are used as hot relaxation baths. Heated with burning bamboo, the bath water is mixed up with local herbs to heal mind and body and sooth sore muscles. This is the perfect “bubble bath” after surviving an adventurous day in the jungle. You’ll experience being “cooked alive” in a huge cauldron!

Isn't it time to acknowledge a shameful injustice and finally celebrate Kuling with a memorial? This lovely woman who brightened up my life by planting flowers at Kayak Inn was killed for being a witch (mananangal/aswang) in a chilling "Lord of the Flies" moment near the edge of the Tibiao River at Tuno some two decades ago. https://www.tribaladventures.com/whitewater-kayaking-witches-cauldrons-tibiao-river/
