A split second can change everything.

During this exchange, our Head Coach was nearly thrown outside the ring and onto the concrete floor below. It was one of the most dangerous moments of the match, but despite the explosive attempt, no points were awarded and no dominant position was established.

As the match entered its final minutes, Coach Alex began working toward one of his strongest weapons—the triangle choke. The setup was developing, but time expired before the submission could be fully secured.

The match ultimately ended in a split decision, reflecting a highly competitive battle from start to finish.

We respect the decision of the judges and congratulate our opponent on a hard-fought match.

At Saints Warriors, we believe every competition is an opportunity to learn, improve, and represent our team with honor.

The key to our success is hard work, perseverance, and faith.

We may not always have the same experience, resources, or opportunities as others. Some may have more prestige, better facilities, or a head start. But what we have is the willingness to keep showing up, even when things are difficult.

We train with purpose. We push forward despite the challenges of work, family, and everyday life. Even when attendance is low, when schedules are busy, or when progress feels slow, we continue to move forward.

We believe that every session, every sacrifice, and every small step matters. Through perseverance, we trust that one day we will reach the bigger stage. Through faith, we know that we can continue to build, grow, and raise our team to greater heights.

Success is not built overnight. It is earned through consistency, sacrifice, and the refusal to quit. And that is exactly what this team stands for. 💪🙏

🔥 JBDream Fight Fest 12 – Saints Warriors Recap 🔥

JBDream Fight Fest 12 has officially come to a close, and the team delivered strong performances, valuable experience, and memorable moments on and off the mats.

🏆 Results of the night:

✅ Jancel Mabunay secured a win via judges’ decision
âś… Al Schiffer Khan Gomez earned a win via disqualification (knee reaping)
⚔️ Coach Alex Aguilar Mabaquiao Jr. showcased elite-level defense and composure in a hard-fought battle. Throughout the match, not a single point was scored against him and no guard pass was conceded, demonstrating exceptional technical control against a highly competitive opponent almost on the stage of finishing triangle choke.

With neither athlete able to establish a scoring advantage, the match was ultimately decided by the judges’ discretion.

Beyond the results, what stood out most was the unity of the Saints Warriors family—supporters, teammates, and families coming together to back every athlete on the mats.

A special appreciation to HQ Coach Luigi Noel Villanueva Cabatingan Jiboia BJJ Philippines for his constant guidance, support, and assistance to the team. His presence and input continue to play a key role in the athletes’ preparation and confidence.

Big thanks as well to Coach Jaguar Rgp Enriquez and Captain Ej Janele Espina for their attendance, support, and hands-on assistance for our fighters throughout the event. Your presence made a real difference in keeping the team focused and ready.

We would also like to extend our gratitude to Prof. Leo Gaerlan of Matrix Jiu-Jitsu for his support during Coach Alex’s match. The cornering and guidance were truly appreciated.

Every match adds experience, every event builds character, and every setback or win pushes us forward.

Tomorrow, three of our warriors step into the arena to represent our team with pride, courage, and heart.

🥋 Coach Alex Aguilar Mabaquiao Jr. – A true leader who leads by example. His dedication, experience, and warrior mindset continue to inspire everyone on and off the mats. Tomorrow, he puts his skills to the test once again.

🥊 Jancel Mabunay – One of the hardest workers in the gym. Relentless, disciplined, and always willing to push beyond his limits. Expect an exciting performance from this rising warrior.

💪 Al Schiffer Khan Gomez – Strong, determined, and never backs down from a challenge. His commitment to training and constant improvement has prepared him for this moment.
Months of sacrifice, countless rounds of training, and unwavering determination have led to this day. Win or lose, these warriors have already earned our respect for having the courage to step forward and compete.
