🇵🇭 A HISTORIC BRONZE FOR TEAM PILIPINAS PG U12! 🥉⚾
THEY CAME TO JAPAN. THEY FOUGHT. THEY BELIEVED. THEY MADE HISTORY.
The PG U12 Pilipinas Team fought with courage, heart, and pride until the very last pitch, falling short against Japan in a thrilling and heartbreaking 6–5 walk-off loss in the Semi-Finals.
It was our second meeting against Japan, and once again, it was a battle decided by the smallest of margins.
In the final inning, Pilipinas was leading 5–4. With one out and a runner in scoring position, Japan’s cleanup hitter stepped up and delivered a heroic swing—a walk-off home run that ended the game, 6–5.
Before this tournament, there were people who said that Pilipinas would have a hard time scoring against Japan. Some believed that it would be difficult—even nearly impossible—for our young Filipino players to win against such a strong Japanese team.
But these kids proved them wrong.
They showed that Filipino baseball is growing. They showed that our young players can compete, fight, and stand toe-to-toe with strong international teams.
And most importantly, they showed that the Philippines belongs on the international baseball stage. 🇵🇭
🥉 TEAM PILIPINAS PG U12 SECURED THE BRONZE MEDAL.
But this medal represents more than a podium finish.
It represents the courage to believe when others doubt you.
When we first came to Japan, not everyone believed in us. Some said we were only coming here for a vacation. Others questioned whether we deserved our slot in this tournament. Some even doubted if we could score against or defeat the very strong teams from Japan.
But the players believed.
The coaches believed.
The manager believed.
The parents believed.
And countless Filipinos who prayed for us believed.
Led by Coach Darvin Reyes and Coach Kyle Rodrigo Villafana, together with our dedicated Manager Maricar Sason, and with the support and guidance of PG Vice President Sir Raymond Tolentino and PG President Mon Galimba, this journey became possible.
To every parent who sacrificed their time, resources, and comfort to bring these kids here—thank you.
To every Filipino who prayed, supported, and believed in Team Pilipinas—this medal is also yours.
🇵🇭 TEAM PILIPINAS PG U12 MADE HISTORY.
Not only by defeating Japan earlier in this tournament, but by proving that Filipino young athletes can compete with pride, courage, and honor—even on foreign soil.
We may not have won the game today, but we won something bigger.
We earned respect.
We raised the Philippine flag.
We showed the world what Filipino baseball can become.
This is not the end of the story of these kids.
THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING.
We are not just a team.
WE ARE A FAMILY. 🤝
We are playing for the COUNTRY, not for money.
We are playing for the DREAM OF GRASSROOTS BASEBALL.
We are playing with PRIDE IN OUR HEARTS. ❤️🇵🇭
To every player who fought until the final pitch, to our coaches and manager, to our PG leaders, to every parent who sacrificed, and to every Filipino who prayed and supported us—
THIS BRONZE MEDAL IS FOR ALL OF YOU. 🥉🇵🇭
The journey continues.
The dream continues.
The fight continues.
TULOY ANG PANGARAP! 🇵🇭⚾❤️
MAGANDANG BUHAY!
