Helen is fighting Stage 4 cancer, yet she continues to dance, teach, smile, and give hope to children through sports.

Her story reminds us that happiness doesn’t have to wait for life to become easier. Sometimes, choosing to keep going is already a victory.

Joshua’s story reminds me why grassroots sports matter.

Not every child we train will become a champion. Not everyone will win a medal. But sometimes, the greatest victory is simply helping a young person choose a better path.

Joshua may never have stood on the highest podium in sports, but he stood on the podium of life. He survived, built a family, and now helps other young people find their own way.

That, for me, is what sports can truly do. It doesn’t just create champions. Sometimes, it saves lives.

Spending time with these amazing dance athletes reminds me that age is never a reason to stop moving. At 67, I may not dance like them, but I can definitely keep up with the energy, the smiles, and the love for sport. ❤️💃🕺

Grassroots is where champions begin. 🏆🇵🇭

This program brings together the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC), Private Schools Athletic Association (PRISAA), Department of Education (DepEd), SCUAA, Philippine Olympic Committee (POC), LGUs, coaches, trainers, and sports leaders from Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.

Together, we’re building a stronger and more unified grassroots sports system, bringing quality training closer to our communities and schools.

From grassroots to gold, we build the foundation for greatness. 🥇
