1996 was when cycling started breaking the rules.

Superbikes arrived. Skinsuits became second skin. Riders pushed aerodynamics, technology and position to the absolute limit, chasing every possible advantage.

It was bold, obsessive and unapologetic. So extreme that the UCI eventually stepped in.
