Dear Athletes,

We sincerely apologize to everyone who has been looking forward to the SLP Coastman Matnog this October.

After careful consideration, we have made the difficult decision to reschedule the event due to the increased possibility of typhoons during the latter part of the year. As Bicol is one of the regions frequently affected by severe weather, the safety of our participants, volunteers, and race team must always come first.

To ensure a safer and more enjoyable race experience, SLP Coastman Matnog will now be held in May of next year.

We understand this news may be disappointing, and we truly appreciate your patience, understanding, and continued support. We are also exploring the possibility of organizing an alternative SLP Coastman venue later this year. We will share updates as soon as more details become available.

Thank you for your trust and understanding. We look forward to welcoming you to Matnog next May for an even better and safer race experience.

I extend my deepest gratitude to the Board of Jurors of the HERO OF PUBLIC SERVICE AWARD for recognizing our humble contributions to water safety, environmental stewardship, and the advancement of aquatic sports.

This recognition is not mine alone. I proudly share it with the men, women, and children of Swim League Philippines across the nation, whose voluntary service, dedication, love, and passion for our mission are truly immeasurable, our collective efforts reflects the strength of a united movement committed to nation-building.

This award strengthens our resolve to continue molding future heroes of sport and future leaders of our nation. We firmly believe that the values of integrity, discipline, service, teamwork, and respect must be cultivated in our youth. By investing in our children today, we help build a stronger and more united, resilient and intelligent Philippines tomorrow.

While there have been occasions when some individuals in positions of authority within the aquatic community have belittled our cause, questioned our intentions, or hindered our efforts, we remain steadfast in our mission.
