In our previous posts, weโve shown the steps on how to practice the serve using the . ๐พ In this last-of-series post, Lisa will show the last step, which is the hip drive. โ๏ธ
To recap the points on how to practice your serve:
1. Hold the racket with the right grip. The ServeMaster has V-markers which serve as a grip guide.
2. Throwing Motion- simultaneous movement of the arms, toss arm should be all the way up; Hit arm triceps parallel to the floor, elbow to the fence and fingernails at the back of the head; throw the ServeMaster overhead
3. Take Back - repetitively practicing the swing back to get used to simultaneously swinging your arms; then continue the movement until the throwing motion.
4. Hip Drive- drive your hip up, like springing from the floor, once you execute the throwing motion
The serve is a complicated kinetic chain of movements. ๐ฎโ๐จ The ServeMaster could allow you to break down these movements, practice and โfeelโ the rhythm of the serve without worrying about the ball toss. ๐
