Our latest update is out, introducing the Pixel-walk challenge.

Motivational and fun: Build an image step-by-step, Pixel-by-Pixel

Collect pixels as you walk and reveal one of the many images in our collection. Keep walking and discover new images.

There is no time limit, walk as much or as little as you can. Each pixel-image requires 40km / 25 miles of walking.

Your completed Image is added to your Pixel-walk gallery. As more you walk, as larger the value (measured in km or miles) of your gallery (and your fitness level) will grow. Update or download ‘My Walk Tracker’ and convert your walks into pixels.

It has been a while since our last update but finally, version 1.5.0 is ready for you to download.

This version includes a new section to set personal goals for the day/week/month/year and gives out reward badges each time you reach your goal. We kept it simple but more rewards, more encouragement to help you stay motivated and keep walking is in the making.

Every kilometer/mile you walk so far this year will be added to your yearly goal, each mile/kilometer to the monthly goal and each mile/kilometer to the weekly goal you set before the week is over. Besides the distance goal setting, you can also set goals for steps. Or both of them at the same time.

Don’t wait, update ‘My Walk Tracker’ and start collecting badges along your way. Happy walking.

No matter where you walk, outdoors or indoors, every step you make counts and is recorded.

We added Indoor Walk recording to our App to ensure all of your walks are properly recorded, analyzed and documented. Easy to reach on the main screen, just select Outdoor or Indoor walk and off you go.

Indoor walk recording uses your step count to calculate all the walk parameters. Your indoor walk record is fully integrated into the system, counted like the outdoor walks.

Especially at this time of the year when the weather can be lees than optimal for outdoor walk, this feature is just in time to keep your walks documented. If you walk on a treadmill, you can adjust the incline to match your treadmill setting. Higher incline = more calories burned.

Update ‘My Walk Tracker’ now or, if you haven’t done yet, install it and take it with you on your next walk, outdoors or indoors.

Latest update for
We added more walk performance data to the share image to include Cadence, Calories, Speed and Floors.

Especially Cadence it very interesting as it indicates the level of walk intensity. A Cadence of about 100 steps per minute is equivalent to a moderate physical workout. Walking at a cadence of 135 steps/min is classified as vigorous workout.
The Cadence value is not related to gender, age, weight, height and therefore one of the few walk values that can be compared with other walker.
If you want to learn more about Cadence - we have an article on that: https://mywalktracker.com/walk-statistic-know-your-walk-numbers/

We just released a new feature for ‘My Walk Tracker’: Trim your walk route.

Forgot to turn off walk tracking when you got in the car and drove home? No problem. Cut off the part of your recorded walk that does not belong to it. All your walk statistics will be recalculated based on your trimmed route.

Simply move the avatar in the Interactive Map view to the position you want the new end point of your walk and tap ‘Trim’. All your walk statistics will be recalculated using the new route length.y.

We just released an update with some new features:
Export your walk statistics like distance, pace, calories and more in CSV format. CVS can be imported into Spreadsheet applications to create your own graphs or combine your ‘My Walk Tracker’ stats with other fitness data you might have.
Export your walk route GPS data via the universal GPX format which you can import in many tracking application, even Google Maps to share your walk route with friends.

The new features also include the additions of Floors, the number of floors you climbed based on your elevation profile, and Cadence in steps per minute. The Cadence is a good indicator about the intensity of your walk.

According some researchers who investigated the relation between cadence and workout intensity level, indicate that a person walking at 100 to 129 steps per minute counts as moderate intensity physical activity between 3 and 5.9 METs. If you pick up a little more to 130 steps per minute, you’ll hit the threshold for vigorous intensity (at least 6 METs).

A MET is a ratio of your working metabolic rate relative to your resting metabolic rate. Metabolic rate is the rate of energy expended per unit of time. It’s one way to describe the intensity of an exercise or activity.

This research was done on a select group of individuals ranging from 21 to 60 years old.

Go ahead and update ‘My Walk Tracker’ to check out in your walk detail view how you have done so far with your walk intensity / cadence.

Happy walking.
