Congratulations, Vanessa Bayot! Proudly representing her school the Summit Hoops way!

Vanessa has always been that “hungry to learn” player. Someone who is never afraid to ask, “Coach, how can I improve my game?” "Coach, am I doing it right?" Her willingness to learn, accept correction, and put in the hard work is truly inspiring.

And now, all that hard work has started to bear fruit! Her performance during their recently held 3x3 tournament is a great reminder that when you stay committed to learning and improving, progress will follow.

NATIONAL JUNIORS CHAMPIONSHIP | U14 DIVISION (Born 2012 & later) | Boys & Girls

SERIOUS PLAYERS ONLY. Ready to COMPETE AND COMMIT.
We are taking 12 PLAYERS + 3 RESERVES.

📅 DAY: Sept 20, 2026 (Sunday)
⏰ TIME: 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM
📍 VENUE: Sotogrande Clubhouse, Tagaytay City

Things to Bring:

💧 Your own water bottle (water provided)
⛹️ White & Dark jerseys for the tryout
💳🪪 School/Gov't ID
📃 Photocopy of PSA Certificate

Registration Fee: 150 PHP (Excess proceeds will help cover players' basic needs during training and league participation)

Please be reminded that the door will close exactly at 12:01 PM. Latecomers will not be accommodated. Thank you for your understanding.

🕒 “Being on Time Is Bigger Than Basketball” 🏀

This isn’t an attack on parents. It’s a friendly reminder.
As coaches, we understand life gets busy. Work runs late. Traffic happens. Kids have homework, and a thousand other things pulling them in every direction.

But when we ask players to be on time — it’s not about control, it’s about character. Because the real world doesn’t wait on talent. It rewards discipline, respect, and accountability.

When a coach expects your child to show up early, dressed, stretched, and ready — we’re not being strict. We’re preparing them for the habits that success is built on.
👨‍🏫 Being on time teaches more than the game:
-It teaches respect for teammates and coaches.
-It builds discipline that lasts beyond sports.
-It shows commitment — that their word matters.

A coach who enforces that isn’t being tough. They’re being intentional. They care enough to hold players to a higher standard, even when it’s uncomfortable.

So next time your child hears, “Be on time,”
remember — it’s not about punishment, it’s about preparation.
Because one day, the whistle stops blowing and what’s left are the habits that shape the person.
