Team Dirt takes home second place at the the Mind Over Matter Re-engaged: Palompon Matag-ob Adventure Race!

Together with our core team, we sent our new racers to Palompon to compete in this 2-day staged race, a great introductory race for the next gen team dirt to test their AR chops

It was a good battle at the front of the pack where we were neck and neck with Team Race2Share

We are not a big team with unlimited resources.

Team Dirt is pretty much a grassroots, bootstrapped bunch of athletes who are deeply passionate about adventure racing and the outdoors.

We make do with what’s available to us: the terrain, the environment, the gear we have, the resources around us.

We train, strategize, repair bikes, prep gear, and build things with our own hands. Sometimes in our garages, sometimes in a friend’s garage, sometimes by the side of the road before a race.

No fancy setup. No massive support crew. Just people willing to grind it out to get the results.

Everything we do is built on effort, friendship, trust, resourcefulness, and a shared love for adventure.

And honestly, that’s what makes this journey meaningful to us. and always will be.

We’ve made a small update to our website that now includes the upcoming races on our calendar.

In case you haven’t seen it yet, here are the next two races we’ll be taking on:

The first is the Palompon Matag-ob Adventure Race organized by LGU Palompon happening on May 23–24, 2026 in the towns of Palompon and Matag-ob, Leyte. This will be a 24-hour race.

Right after that, we’ll be heading to Palapag Sierra Club's Taragobay Adventure Race in the towns of Palapag, Mapanas, Gamay, and Lapinig. This will be a 36-hour race.

These back-to-back races officially kick off our 2026 adventure racing season. It will also be our team’s first time racing in both events.

We’re hoping for strong performances this year as we continue racing locally and internationally.
