At the recently concluded IRONMAN 70.3 Lapu-Lapu in Cebu, the brand ambassadors proved their collective dominance by taking home the 2nd Place Best Team Award!

This award isn't just about having one fast finisher; a team’s score is calculated by adding together the Age Group Ranking (AGR) points earned by every single registered age-group athlete on the roster. It takes immense depth, consistency, and a shared culture of excellence across the board.

The ultimate comeback statement. 🇵🇭🔥

Irienold Reig Jr. didn’t just show up at IRONMAN 70.3 Lapu-Lapu in Cebu this weekend — he completely took over. Clocking in at a blistering 4:23:04, he is the Fastest Filipino of the race, placing Top 7 in an international field of all Age Groupers and Top 11 Overall including the Pros!

This victory carries some history. After being crowned the Overall Champion at IRONMAN 70.3 Davao earlier this year, Irienold was on track for a historic Philippine 70.3 Grand Slam. A heartbreaking bike mechanical issue at IRONMAN 70.3 Subic Bay last June took that dream away.

But true champions don't dwell on what could have been. They get back to work. This weekend in Cebu was pure redemption and a masterclass in First-World ex*****on. The Grand Slam may have slipped away, but the dominance is undeniable.

Race Day! Tomorrow, August 9, 2026, the Team Megawide brand ambassadors take on the 12th edition of the IRONMAN 70.3 Lapu-Lapu in Cebu, Philippines!

This is one of Asia's premier endurance events, drawing over 1,400 athletes from 49 countries. Our team is ready to tackle the iconic 113-kilometer course. From the 1.9-kilometer swim in Mactan Newtown, to the blistering 90-kilometer bike course across the breathtaking Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway (CCLEX), and finishing with a grueling 21.1-kilometer run, everyone is dialed in.

This race isn't just about finishing; it's a battle for a qualifying spot at the 2027 IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship. After months of relentless discipline and embracing the grind, the team is prepared to showcase our First-World mindset on home soil.

Gun start is at 5:55 AM. See you at the finish line, Cebu!

Defying the odds, one race at a time. 🏊‍♂️🚴‍♂️🏃‍♂️

At over 70 years old, Sandy Syjuco just earned a gold medal at the Sun Life 5150 Bohol Triathlon, which consisted of a 1.5km open-water swim, 40km bike, and 10km run. But the real story is what it took to get to that start line.

Diagnosed with a rare form of stage-3 liver cancer in 2011, Sandy was given only six months to live. Instead of letting fate take control, he fought back, eventually responding to a calling to become a triathlete at age 64. Through intense discipline and training five to six days a week, he not only recovered but went on to a podium finish at Ironman 70.3 Vietnam at age 70.

Sandy brings unparalleled grit to Team Megawide. He is a living reminder that success requires hard work, faith, and a powerful community.

Massive respect for another incredible finish, Sandy. Onwards and upwards!

At IRONMAN 70.3 Subic Bay, Team Captain Alex Isip showed exactly why he’s our pacesetter from the first stroke, putting together a massive swim performance to open the day. While the final numbers on the scoreboard didn't match the goals he set for himself, the true value of the weekend lies in the takeaways.

Unforgiving race tracks expose exactly where you need to refine, adjust, and rebuild. For Alex, those lessons are firmly embedded. There’s no dwelling on what could have been—only clear-eyed focus on what comes next.
