🌿 Honoring the Dwarpinas of the Banana Pool
At Holy Paradise Resort, our springs, forests, and gardens are more than places of natural beauty. They are also home to living traditions and beliefs passed down through generations in Siquijor.
According to the tradition of Ate TC, our resident traditional healer and spiritual teacher, there are nature spirits known as dwarpinas, particularly associated with flowers and waters.
Their appearance and beautiful attire are said to be revealed through spiritual visions and dreams. During this special ritual, Ate TC wore ceremonial attire reflecting how these beings are perceived in her tradition.
The ritual was held beside our Banana Pool, where we believe these dwarpinas dwell among the flowing waters, plants, and surrounding forest.
Through traditions such as this, Holy Paradise seeks to preserve not only the natural environment, but also the stories, beliefs, and spiritual heritage that connect people with the land and its waters.
