The Gators Swim Team once again asserted their dominance at the1st Mayor Albee Benitez Mascara Swim Cup held in SJI Talisay City on October 19-20, proudly returning with an extraordinary array of medals that reflects their unwavering commitment and outstanding performance.
The Gators delivered ๐ ๐๐๐๐ก๐๐๐ข๐๐๐ performances, besting numerous teams. Intnyr Gutana dominated the pool, securing Gold in the 100m Backstroke, 100m Butterfly, 50m Backstroke, and 100m Freestyle, while also earning Silver in the 50m Freestyle. His outstanding achievements earned him the title of The Most be Medalled in the 15-17 Boys age group.
Breastroker Troy Castor from Victorias City made waves as he captured Gold in the 100m Breaststroke, 50m Freestyle, and 50m Butterfly, alongside a Bronze in the 100m Freestyle. Meanwhile the Backstroker Rhian Quevenco exhibited her exceptional skills, swimming to Gold in the 200m Individual Medley, Silver in the 100m Backstroke, and Bronze in the 200m Freestyle in the fiercely competitive 15-17 Girls category.
The Villarino sisters also delivered impressive performances. Chloe Villarino, in the 13-14 Girls category, clinched Gold in the 100m Breaststroke, Silver in the 200m IM, and Bronze in the 200m Freestyle. Her younger sister, Zyra Villarino, competed in the 11-12 age group, winning Gold in the 200m Freestyle and 100m Freestyle, Silver in the 200m IM, and Bronze in the 100m Butterfly.
In the 10-and-Under Boys category, Cedric Lobaton made an impact by earning Silver in both the 200m Freestyle and 200m Individual Medley, along with a Bronze medal in the 50m Freestyle. Transitioning to the spotlight, Hary Diesto clinched a remarkable Gold in the 100m and 50m Backstroke events.
Shifting focus to the Girls 10-and-Under division, Zemira Isobel Saavedra showcased her talent with a Silver medal in the 200m Freestyle. Not to be outdone, Franc Daniel Alvarez also captured Silver, this time in the 100m Backstroke, highlighting the fierce competition among young swimmers.
The Gators' unwavering determination and relentless training have propelled them to victory, earning well-deserved trophies and medals. With the support of their dedicated coaches, the team is motivated to push harder and reach new heights.๐
