The Panduyucan Arnisador Society successfully conducted its 2nd Invitational Arnis Tournament, which brought together various Arnis teams from Region I and Baguio City. The event served as a significant avenue for promoting Arnis as the national martial art of the Philippines while fostering discipline, respect, camaraderie, and sportsmanship among athletes, coaches, and officials.
Despite the limited time available for the competition, the tournament was efficiently organized and successfully completed within a single day. This achievement was made possible through effective planning, strong coordination, and the collective efforts of everyone involved, ensuring that all matches were conducted smoothly, fairly, and in accordance with established rules and standards.
The program featured important ceremonial highlights that emphasized the values of integrity and unity in Arnis. The Oath of Sportsmanship was led by Ma Regina M. Oligane, National Batang Pinoy qualifier reminding athletes of their responsibility to compete with honor and respect. The Oath of Technical Officials was administered by Maโam Ruth Ann Lavarias, an international Arnis coach and trainer, reaffirming the officialsโ commitment to fairness and ethical officiating. The Grand Salutation was led by Sir Franklin B. Magno Jr., symbolizing respect, unity, and tradition within the Arnis community. The event officially commenced with the Opening Remarks and Message delivered by Maโam Lovely Grace De Guzman, who expressed gratitude to all participants and highlighted the importance of continued collaboration in the development of Arnis.
The organization extends its heartfelt appreciation to all participating teams, athletes, and coaches for their enthusiasm, cooperation, and commitment to the spirit of sportsmanship throughout the event. The success of the tournament was further strengthened by the dedication and professionalism of the technical officials, whose expertise and tireless efforts ensured the orderly and impartial conduct of all matches.
