Team Zone 2 is heading home smiling, having secured their spot in the finals as a Final Four contender.

Although Team Centro went home disappointed, they put on a show, raining down three-pointers a performance so intense it was like a storm of its own; the audience really should have brought umbrellas, as no one expected that barrage of threes.

Meanwhile, Team Supreme Ballers pulled off an upset against Team Baybay, who held the "twice-to-beat" advantage. That situation was certainly frustrating for Team Baybay; instead of advancing to the finals, they fell short—partly due to a lack of available players.

The "do-or-die" match finally took place after repeated postponements caused by heavy rain. Ultimately, Team Supreme Ballers closed it out, advancing to the finals for a rematch against Zone 2.

Let’s see what happens this coming Friday—show your skill, composure, and intensity on the court. Just a reminder: focus on the game—not the referees, not the clock, and don't think about any bets you might have placed.

Focus always on how to win and become the champion; do that, and you prove yourself a true player and team—and the one who will be crowned champion of your barangay.

BAP R1 San Carlos achieved another honor and blessing last week by being tapped to officiate the tournament organized by the Brgy. Inerangan SK. Although the tournament is brief, our group is committed to demonstrating excellence in officiating the event.

We also extend our gratitude to San Carlos City Councilor Joyce Frias for supporting her barangay and for advising the youth to simply enjoy the game, reminding everyone that we are one community.

Special thanks as well to Commissioner Alain Arenas for sharing valuable advice with the players regarding the rules and lessons drawn from his own experience; Commissioner Alain truly showcased his expertise in both basketball and officiating.

The past few weeks have been a source of satisfaction as various barangay basketball leagues have successfully concluded. Our referees demonstrated their officiating skills; while they may not be perfect, they maintained firm and decisive calls on the court.

Although the other SK leagues will resume next year, we hope you will continue to patronize our group's services.

While we may not be perfect, we always put in the effort, drawing upon everything we have learned and our experience.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the barangays of San Carlos City, Pangasinan, for patronizing the services of BAP R1 San Carlos City, Pangasinan.

Barangay Calomboyan in San Carlos showcased impressive basketball talent during the finals. In the juniors' division, Riverside defeated Boquig, securing their team's fourth championship title.

Although Riverside swept the series 2–0, Boquig displayed great skill and determination, ensuring the audience witnessed a high-quality game despite the outcome. Meanwhile, in another matchup, Boquig held a 1–0 lead in the series, but Team Baybay managed to bounce back, keeping the best-of-three series alive and leveling the score at 1–1.

The referees also deserve high praise for their performance during these scheduled events; they demonstrated excellence in officiating and were vigilant in identifying and preventing potential conflicts. Thank you, and kudos to you all!
