The Cordillera Djangos, alongside the Climbing and Rescue Association of Ganduyan (CRAG) & the Sagada Binnadang Collective Movement, stand together to support Michael Say-awen Jr. as we bring to you two outdoor activity fundraisers this coming July 07!
We'll be hosting a sunrise hike towards the peak (yes, the peak, not the grasslands) of Mt. Ampacao in the early morning. Meet up time will be 4AM at the Centrum Building at Poblacion Sagada. Registration will be Php 200 for each attendee to be paid onsite. For questions, feel free to send us a message.
Unlimited rock climbing shall also take place at the Paytokan Wall in the later hours from 6.30 AM onwards until the weather permits. Registration will be Php 400 each inclusive of equipment use and your own personal belayer, to be paid on site. Pinikpikan will also be served to attendees. Both activities are family friendly and are fun outdoor experiences for a great cause. See you there!

Diagnosis: Spinal Cord Compression T2-T2 Level Extremedullary, Extradural Probably Secondary to Pott's Disease
**this means that there is an erosion affecting his bone based on his scan and MRI, leading to compression of the spinal cord which causes numbness and too much pain while moving.
Aside from unbearable pain, his spine will gradually deteriorate affecting his nerves which can lead to disability if not surgically treated.
Procedures:
1. Excision of Submandibular Mass, Left
2. CT-guided Biopsy of Right Paravertebral Mass
3. Surgical Decompression and Spinal Stabilization
He needs to undergo an operation called Surgical Decompression and Spinal Stabilization wherein more space shall be created for the bones to move freely without compressing each other and certain screws shall be implanted to stabilize his spine.
