Grateful for the opportunity to enhance the opening number of the 32nd ASEAN Armies Rifle Meet at Camp O’Donnell, Capas, Tarlac 🇵🇭
Sobrang ganda ng experience, iba’t ibang bansa ang kasali

Hindi ko rin magagawa ‘to nang maayos without my people/friends Emman and Mhel, salamat sa tulong, support, at tiwala para ma-execute natin nang maayos ang performance 🤝

At the end of the video, napag-usapan namin kung bakit mahalaga ang vibe at proper managing, lalo na kapag maraming dancers ang hinahandle.
Hindi lang steps ang inaayos, energy, focus, at teamwork din.

Hope this small lesson, based on real experience, makatulong sa new generation of choreographers and teachers.

Why do dance teachers make sounds like booom, tak, bang bang, ka-ka when counting? 🤔

Madaming nagtatanong… and honestly, for some non-dancers, medyo weird pakinggan, tama? 😅

Pero eto yung totoo 👇
As a dance teacher, I’ve learned that one specific sound can completely change the way you move.
Iba yung “1-2-3-4” sa “BOOM-TAK-KA-KA.”
Iba yung energy.
Iba yung texture.
Iba yung quality.

Kaya kami nage-effort kumanta, gumawa ng sounds, or kung anu-anong noises 🤣
Because those sounds transfer the exact texture, intention, and feeling we want you to embody.
Para maramdaman mo, not just makita yung steps.

Kung dancer ka, alam mo ‘to.

✨“Why character in dancing is important?”

Philippine Fashion Week 2025 Opening Number Behind the Scenes.

I got a task from our director, Bernard Maybituin of Lumina Events PH, and we carefully discussed the intention behind the opening number. As a choreographer, it’s my job to make the client’s imagination happen, to translate their vision into movement.

Kaya madalas n’yo maririnig sa video the word “character.”
Because I truly believe na ito ang nagpapaganda, nagpapalalim, at nagpapabuhay ng movements natin.
Anyone can copy steps, pero iba kapag may character. Iba kapag may kwento. Iba kapag buhay ang galaw.
