At Saturday Spin Academy: Coach Jeff teaching a student, the basics.

Saturday Spin Academy (10am - 12nn) is open to Beginners who want to learn how to play table tennis and for to Intermediate level players who want to improve their skills.

Coached by Jeffrey Philip Arevalo Dalida, a former NCAA player and founder of Spin Republic and ably assisted by Coach Bry Gravidez, a long-time trainer of people of all ages and skill level.

Before Alex Eala, there was Ian "YanYan" Lariba, Olympian and phenom of Philippine Table Tennis, a lefty too.

YanYan was a UAAP standout as she remained undefeated in her collegiate years, leading the DLSU Women's team to 3 Championships. She peaked in her career when she helped the Philippines win its first ever First Place finish at the 2014 World Table Tennis Championships (Division 4). She qualified in Rio 2016 however lost and was eliminated in her first match. A year after the Olympics, she was diagnosed with Leukemia. Though she fought strongly, she succumbed to it in 2018.

Remembering YanYan exactly 10 years after Rio 2016. Rest in peace but palo pa more in heaven Mam!
